Our Story
BioGoodz wants to make a real contribution to a cleaner planet by replacing plastic products with organic sustainable products that are reusable are and/or can be recycled. To keep the carbon footprint as low as possible, our products are produced and developed locally whenever possible, the reusable straws, for example, are produced entirely in Germany, that is, both the raw material and the finished product.
Our packaging is also biodegradable or fully recyclable.
To make it a success, we also expect our customers to actually reuse our products, in this case the organic straws. It can be done, so why not! You are helping to make a positive contribution to the environment. Reducing mountains of waste and less plastic in the ocean and landscape. Oh yes, you save by reuse money as well.

Straws
As of July 3, 2021, plastic straws will be banned. This is why BioGoodz, together with its producer, started looking for a good organic alternative. The most commonly used alternative at the moment are paper straws, but these have shown themselves not to be a stable replacement for plastic straws. The paper can come loose and shoot into your throat when you suck on it. The paper straws are definitely not user-friendly. In fact, they become limp while drinking and are not reusable. Moreover, they affect the taste. But now there is a good alternative. BioGoodz organic straws, with the sturdiness of plastic straws and also reusable.
Materials of our organic straws
The food-safe reusable organic straws from BioGoodz are made of a material based mainly on natural resins, waxes, oils, cellulose and biological additives. A plasticizer-free and ecological raw material that is biodegradable and converts to the components CO2, water and biomass.
The BIO straws are biodegradable according to the DIN EN 13432 standard and they are also certified as home compostable according to the NF T51-800 standard by DIN CERTCO.

BioGoodz reusable organic straws
Reusable organic straws are an alternative to disposable plastic straws and can have a positive impact on the environment. Disposable plastic straws contribute to plastic pollution of the oceans and have a negative impact on the environment and wildlife. Reusable straws can be used multiple times and are often made of materials such as stainless steel, glass, bamboo or silicone. Some people find that reusable drinking straws are not as comfortable to use as plastic straws. For example, some straws made of metal or bamboo may feel too hot or too cold when used with hot or cold beverages.
Also, straws made of metal or glass can sometimes transfer unwanted flavors to drinks.
The reusable organic straws from BioGoodz do have that desired drinking experience and do not impart flavor to hot or cold beverages.
However, the use of reusable drinking straws can also present certain challenges. There are several initiatives and campaigns to promote the use of reusable straws and reduce the use of disposable plastic straws. This includes legislation banning or restricting the use of disposable plastic straws. Although there are still quite challenges in using reusable straws, they are a step in the right direction for a more sustainable and environmentally friendly future.
